The US CIVIL DEFENSE CHAPLAINS CORPS
was created in 2002 after the 911 events, Katrina, Rita and Wilma aftermath, by Chaplains who went to the disaster area with
the expertise from federal and military chaplaincy, they assisted and worked among the search and rescue and emergency services
personnel, American Red Cross and FEMA. This corps was inspired by the Chaplains trained during the cold war by the Office
Of Civilian Defense. The Civil Defense had specialty track codes with similarities to the military occupational specialty
codes, the Civilian Defense ranked and named the civilian volunteers as medical corps, engineers corps and chaplains corps
etc.
